- The Customer must possess a valid driver’s license (Class “B” or equivalent) to rent a gasoline scooter in Cape Verde.
- Scooters are strictly for use on public paved roads only. Off-road riding, including but not limited to beaches, Natural Reserve areas, and the Burracona Cave vicinity, is strictly prohibited.
- The maximum load capacity of the scooter is 150 kg, including both passengers and cargo. Overloading is strictly forbidden.
- The Customer is responsible for returning the scooter with a full tank of gasoline and in a clean condition. A washing service is available at the SHELL station for €2. Failure to return the scooter clean may result in an additional cleaning fee.
- The rental includes an IoT tracking device for security and operational monitoring. Any attempt to tamper with or remove this device will result in the immediate termination of the rental without refund.
- The Customer acknowledges full responsibility for the scooter during the rental period and assumes all risks associated with its operation.
- Insurance covers road accidents and third-party damage but does not cover damage to the rented scooter itself. Any damage to the scooter (including but not limited to bodywork, tires, engine, battery, lights, sensors, and mechanical components) is the sole financial responsibility of the Customer.
- The €100 security deposit is non-refundable in the event of any damage to the scooter or included accessories (e.g., helmets, keys, locks). If the cost of repairs exceeds the deposit, the Customer is liable for the full repair cost. A detailed repair invoice will be provided at the end of the rental period.
- If an accident occurs due to negligence, misuse, or improper handling of the scooter, the Customer will bear all associated repair and replacement costs, including labor, parts, and service fees.
- Customers are prohibited from attempting repairs or modifications on the scooter. Any unauthorized intervention may result in additional charges.
- In the event of a mechanical issue, the Customer must immediately contact our support team for assistance. Do not attempt to fix the issue independently.
- Response time for roadside assistance depends on the location and availability of service personnel. Customers outside Santa Maria may experience longer wait times. Refunds or compensations will not be provided due to delays in assistance.
- If the breakdown is determined to have resulted from improper use, the Customer will be charged for all necessary repairs.
- All rental payments are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason, including early returns, weather conditions, or change of plans.
- No refunds or partial reimbursements will be given in the event of an accident, damage, or failure of the scooter due to Customer negligence.
- If the Customer violates any terms of this agreement, we reserve the right to immediately terminate the rental without refund.
- The rental agreement is governed by local laws, and the Customer agrees to abide by all applicable traffic regulations.
- By proceeding with the rental, the Customer agrees that these Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement. No additional contract is required; acknowledgment is confirmed through the receipt (sent via email) and the signed Declaration of Indemnity at the time of rental.
- Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in accordance with the jurisdiction where the rental service operates.
